Socks for Happy People is a sock company created in 2007 by Tom Minter and Richard Taylor, based in the UK. We are committed to creating and delivering beautiful and amazing socks in a way that empowers the human mind and uplifts the human spirit, and - of course - are sustainable (and eventually renewable) too. We're working with Niels Peter Flint, the Danish eco-designer and architect, to ensure that we do all we can to live up to our sustainable and ethical values. As far as sustainability goes, Socks for Happy People is good but it's not perfect. There are many areas of our business that we can - and will - improve. We are definitely big dreamers, but we are not lost in the clouds. We are working the best with what we have available to us right now and have time-sensitive sustainable targets so that we become even better. We focus on progress not perfection and one day we will not only by 100% sustainable, we will be renewable. We are committed to constant and never-ending improvement. When that day is, we are not sure yet. We are currently researching possibilities so that we can agree on and fix a date. As soon as we do, we will let you know. :-) Our progress will then be tracked and we will always be honest with people about what we're doing well and where we can improve. Socks for Happy People is about honesty, integrity, education, and choice. We will always be honest about where we and how well we are doing, coming very much from a place of integrity. We aim to educate people about important issues such as sustainability and the environment, and caring for and loving each other as human beings. Once we have lived with integrity and done our best, everyone is free - of course - is think what they like of us, and choose whether to buy or not to buy our products. Whether people buy or do not buy our socks, as long as we can put our hands on our hearts and say that we have lived with integrity as human beings, and run our business as ethically as we know how, then our business has been a great success. And then we'll do it all over again, and make sure to improve sales this time! If you have any questions about Socks for Happy People, you can mail me at tom@sockforhappypeople.com.
